In accordance with Article 7 of the Guideline on Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management (the CACM Regulation), Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) are responsible for performing the tasks related to single day-ahead and / or single intraday coupling, and are designated for an initial term of four years. The CACM Regulation provides for Regulatory Authorities (RAs), to determine at the Member State level the arrangements that follow this initial term.
As this initial period is coming to an end, this letter sets out our decision to renew the designation of NEMOs operating in GB for a new period of four years. We intend to apply this approach on an ongoing basis thereafter.
