Decision

In accordance with Article 7 of the Guideline on Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management (the CACM Regulation), Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) are responsible for performing the tasks related to single day-ahead and / or single intraday coupling, and are designated for an initial term of four years. The CACM Regulation provides for Regulatory Authorities (RAs), to determine at the Member State level the arrangements that follow this initial term.

As this initial period is coming to an end, this letter sets out and consults on our minded to position to renew the designation of NEMOs operating in GB for a new time limited period of four years. We intend to apply this approach on an ongoing basis thereafter.  We welcome comments on the proposal set out in this letter from all interested parties.
