On 25 August 2020, we published a statutory consultation under section 11A of the Electricity Act 1989 on proposed modifications to Offshore Electricity Transmission (OFTO) Licences. Those proposed modifications fell into three categories:
- Modifications to implement the decision set out in the Decision Document published by the Authority in November 2018;
- Clarificatory modifications for all OFTO licences to amended standard condition E12-J3; and
- Modifications to certain OFTO licences to amend particular conditions to align with other OFTO licences.
Following careful consideration of the responses to our statutory consultation, we have decided to implement the licence modifications as set out in the notices annexed to the decision letter. The licence modifications will come into effect in 56 days, on 14 January 2021.
