Who should respond

We would like views from people with an interest in the governance arrangements of organisations, particularly supply licensees. We also welcome responses from:

• consumer groups
• charities
• supply licensees and their parent company where they have one

We also welcome responses from other stakeholders and the public.

Background

We are consulting on new guidance to strengthen supply licensee governance arrangements. Following the guidance will help to build greater financial resilience in the sector. 

We want to ensure energy supply licensees have effective governing bodies through mechanisms such as:

• independent oversight
• conflict of interest management 
• providing transparency of their governance arrangements
