FIT Licensees are required by the Standard Licence Conditions (SLCs) to take all reasonable steps to verify generation and export meter readings at least once every two years. On 11 May 2021 we published a consultation to seek views from stakeholders on permitting generator submitted photographic evidence to continue to be used as a method of biennial meter verification under the FIT scheme following the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions.
The consultation period closed on 7 June 2021. We have reviewed all responses and produced a decision paper outlining the changes we have decided to make in this area. These changes will come into effect as of the date of publication of this decision document.
