The cap and floor regime is the regulated route for electricity interconnector investment in GB. We held the first window for applications in 2014. Five projects applied in that window and we granted each project a cap and floor regime in principle.
We are now launching the second window for electricity interconnector projects to apply for cap and floor regulation. The second window will run from 31 March 2016 to 31 October 2016.
This letter gives our decision on the timing, process and eligibility criteria for the second window.
