In November 2019, the High Court concluded that Ofgem should reconsider the wholesale allowance for the first cap period of the default tariff cap. This consultation sets out our thinking on key analytical challenges, including suppliers’ relevant wholesale costs, the wholesale allowance for the first cap period and adjusting the allowance for a limited number of cap periods in the future.
