The Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme (NDRHI) in Great Britain closed to new applicants at the end of midnight on 31 March 2021. The Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has consulted on changes and published decisions in their government response documents which are available on the BEIS website.
Ofgem have published closure guidance and updated existing guidance documents on 31 March 2021. These guidance documents are based on the statutory instrument that has been laid in parliment on 25 January 2021.
Application Queue Update
Ofgem received an exceptionally high volume of applications in the weeks and months approaching the closure of the NDRHI scheme. Ofgem will be processing all applications by date, in the order in which they were received.
To allow us to continue to progress applications effectively and efficiently, we are emailing all applicants to confirm we have received a properly made application and to detail steps you can take now to make your review as quick as possible. To assist applicants, we will publish a weekly update highlighting the received dates of the applications we’re currently reviewing. We expect based on current progress to begin the first reviews of applications received in March, in early June. If you have already been contacted by our team about your NDRHI application, please ensure you have read this email correspondence carefully and followed any necessary action.
