NDRHI Closure

The Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme (NDRHI) in Great Britain closed to new applicants at midnight on 31 March 2021. The Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) consulted on changes and published decisions in their government response documents which are available on the BEIS website.

We published closure guidance on 31 March 2021 and have updated existing guidance documents on 31 March 2022 to reflect amendments to RHI regulations agreed in Parliament on 21 February 2022. In November 2021 BEIS confirmed a 12-month extension to the commissioning deadline, from 31 March 2022 to 31 March 2023 for those with eligible tariff guarantees.   

Applications

There are some circumstances where an application for accreditation or registration can be made post scheme closure. These are:
