UNC449 seeks to facilitate compliance of the Uniform Network Code with European Third Package legislation regarding Congestion Management Procedures (CMPs). The CMPs aim to promote cross border trade of gas within the European Union through efficient use of gas transportation capacity by bringing unused capacity back into use.
