This report summarises the performance of the electricity distribution operators (DNOs) during the first year of RIIO-ED1 which runs from 2015 to 2023. RIIO stands for revenue = incentives + innovation + outputs.
In February 2014 we published our decision to settle Western Power Distribution's price control early (termed 'fast-tracking'). We issued WPD’s licence conditions for RIIO-ED1 in May 2014. In November 2014 we published our final settlements (final determinations) for the remaining 10 DNOs. We issued their licence conditions implementing these determinations in February 2015.
This report uses data and supporting information submitted by the DNOs. It reports expenditure in year 1, forecast expenditure for the remaining seven years of the price control, and performance against the RIIO outputs. It also provides the impact on customer bills.
