Legal disclaimer
The UK Carbon Calculator is developed for calculating carbon intensity and greenhouse gas (GHG) saving of bioliquids and biofuels used as transport fuels or for electricity generation. The UK Carbon Calculator incorporates the calculation methodology for bioliquids set out in the Renewable Energy Directive 1. The tool is designed to assist in calculating the final GHG emission saving that should be reported to Ofgem.
Ensuring that calculation of GHG savings is undertaken correctly remains the responsibility of generators, as set out in the Renewable Obligation Order.
The UK Carbon Calculator was developed by E4tech, with sponsorship from the Renewable Fuels Agency, the Department for Transport, and the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
