Dermot has extensive leadership experience in energy regulation, market competition and the protection of consumers' interests. He has lectured at the University of London, specialising in the areas of market structures and firm performance. Through its Smarter Markets Programme, Ofgem is identifying, and seeing implemented, changes to energy market arrangements so they are more efficient, dynamic and competitive. In short, smarter for consumers.
Sacha is Chief Executive of the Smart Energy GB, the organisation responsible for delivering consumer engagement during the nationwide roll-out of smart meters to every home and small business in Great Britain.
Roger has worked in the energy industry for over 20 years. The Future Networks department are responsible for Western Power Distribution’s innovation strategy, delivery of demonstration projects and implementation of new solutions into core business activities. Key elements of the WPD Future Networks Programme are developing smarter local grids, leveraging value from smart meters and helping customers adopt lower carbon technologies such as electric cars, heat pumps and distributed generation.
Nina joined British Gas as Managing Director of its Electrical & Dyno Services business in 2010, with a focus on growth and development of its current portfolio of products. In September, 2012 Nina was asked to set up and lead British Gas Connected Homes; a new division within British Gas focusing on developing innovative products and services designed to help customers take control of their energy use. In 2013 Nina took over the position of Commercial Director for British Gas. Alongside this role, Nina is also accountable for Mergers & Acquisitions as well as setting the British Gas and Connected Homes strategy.
Andy Baynes joined Nest Labs in 2012 as Director of Business Development and Energy Efficiency where he oversees Nest's energy services division and strategic partnerships with energy companies worldwide. Prior to Nest, Andy was part of Apple's Product Design division
