Modification of NGET’s Special Conditions on incentives and outputs for National Grid Electricity Transmission's (NGET) role in Electricity Market Reform

Licence modification

We are publishing today the Modification to Special Licence Conditions of the Electricity Transmission Licence held by NGET so that suitable performance incentives are in place when NGET plc carries out its role as EMR Delivery Body.

Following our Notice on 13 June 2014 to modify Special Condition 4A (Restriction of System Operator Internal Revenue) and introduce a new Special Condition 4L (EMR Dispute Resolution Incentive) to the Electricity Transmission Licence held by NGET, we received one representation by NGET on 1 July 2014.

The representation highlighted two minor typographical errors with regards to numbering and font size in Special Condition 4A which have now been corrected.

This Modification sets out the changes to Special Licence Conditions of the Electricity Transmission Licence held by NGET so that suitable performance incentives are in place when NGET plc carries out its role as EMR Delivery Body which are due to take effect on and from 16 September 2014.
