Ofgem is investigating Utilita Energy Ltd’s compliance with rules around installation and use of pre-payment meters for domestic customers.
Utilita Energy Ltd is a domestic energy supplier based in Hampshire.
SLC 0 relates to treating domestic customers fairly, including those in Vulnerable Situations.
SLC 4A relates to operational capability, including having systems and processes in place to effectively serve its customers, as well as identifying and mitigating risks of consumer harm.
SLC 23 relates to notification of Domestic Supply Contract Terms.
SLC 26 relates to the duty of a supplier to establish a Priority Services Register, share information and offer additional support to customers on the register.
SLC 27 relates to payments, security deposits, disconnections, Direct Debits and final bills.
SLC 27A relates to self-disconnection, and the suppliers’ duty to offer appropriate support.
SLC 28 relates to prepayment meters, including installation of involuntary prepayment meters.
SLC 28B relates to Warrants relating to pre-payment meters and other supplier actions to recover debt.
