Decision
In this consultation we have set out our views on National Grid’s Hinkley Seabank project which will connect the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station in Somerset to the main transmission network in Great Britain.
This document covers three broad assessment areas:
- Whether we think there is a technical need for the project.
- How NGET has narrowed down the option it has taken forward to its planning consultation.
- The alternative regulatory models that could be used to deliver the project
This consultation is aimed at parties interested in our views on this transmission project, including potential bidders, incumbent network operators, interested consumer groups, as well as other relevant stakeholders.
