Ofgem has launched TR7 to identify a suitable bidder to whom an offshore transmission licence will be granted. There are two qualifying projects in TR7.
The projects that have met the necessary qualifying requirements and tender entry conditions (in accordance with the Electricity Regulations 2015) for TR7 are:
- Moray East Offshore Wind Farm
- Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm
This generic Preliminary Information Memorandum outlines an opportunity for investors to acquire electricity transmission assets under the regulatory regime governing the ownership and operation of offshore electricity transmission. It also details the process that we will follow in conducting each tender exercise.
