Notice under Section 7(5) of the Gas Act 1986.
The Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (“the Authority”) hereby gives notice pursuant to Section 7(5) of the Gas Act 1986 (“the Act”) as follows:
1. The Authority proposes to grant a gas transporter licence (“the Licence”) under Section 7(2) of the Act to Squire Energy Limited (company number 04786330), whose registered office is situated at 25 - 29 High Street, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 8AB, United Kingdom (“the Company”).
2. The Licence, if awarded, will authorise the Company to:
a. convey gas through pipes to any premises in Great Britain; and
b. convey gas through pipes to any pipe-line system operated by another gas transporter which is designed to receive gas at an operating pressure not exceeding 7 bar gauge.
3. The reasons why the Authority proposes to grant the Licence are:
a. to secure that the reasonable demands for gas in Great Britain are met; and
b. to secure effective competition in the supply of gas through pipes.
4. Any representations or objections with respect to the proposed Licence may be made on or before 01 July 2019 and should be addressed to the licensing team at 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London, E14 4PU or licensing@ofgem.gov.uk.
