Western Power Distribution (WPD) has applied for a derogation under SLC 13.1 and 14.15 to allow them to undertake a trial to facilitate ‘quicker and more efficient connections’, under which, paragraph 5.15 of the Common Connection Charging Methodology (CCCM) will be dis-applied in certain conditions.
In summary, WPD are intending that this derogation will facilitate an alternative method of charging for Distributed Generation (DG)-triggered reinforcement in which the costs are shared between DG customers wishing to connect in the same area. We would welcome your views on the derogation proposed.
