The fifth electricity distribution price control (DPCR5) ended on 31 March 2015. It had several elements which could not be settled until the price control had ended. We committed to creating methodologies for closing these out.
This decision sets out changes to incorporate these methodologies into the RIIO-ED1 Price Control Financial Handbook, held by the electricity Distribution Network Operators (DNOs).
These changes are based on the approach and principles we described in DPCR5 Final Proposals as well as the outcome of our September and December consultations on the close out methodologies for the DPCR5 Price Control. On 20 June 2016 we published a document outlining our methodology decisions following previous consultations. On this date we also published a Statutory Consultation on the Handbook changes.
