Decision on RIIO-ED1 price control reopeners (submissions made during May 2019 window)

We received applications from all six electricity distribution network operators (DNOs) during the May 2019 reopener window. In these applications, the DNOs requested an adjustment to allowances, related to the following uncertain cost categories:
- High Value Project Costs
- Rail Electrification Costs
- Enhanced Physical Site Security Costs
- Specified Streetworks Costs.
We have now made our final decision on these reopener applications.
We received consultation responses from eight stakeholders: Citizens Advice, Centrica, Electricity Northwest Limited (ENWL), Northern Powergrid (NPg), SP Energy Networks (SPEN), Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN), UK Power Networks (UKPN) and Western Power Distribution (WPD).
