Western Power Distribution

We have awarded funding to two Western Power Distribution projects:

EFFS - Electricity Flexibility and Forecasting System (Western Power Distribution)

This project is trialling how to improve load forecasting to identify long-term opportunities for flexibility services and support short-term flexibility service decision making and co-ordination.  This assesses and trials the functionality of flexibility support systems.

OpenLV

The project will create an open intelligence platform at substation level which will enable real time assessments of substation capacity and management.

It will also aim to establish a community engagement scheme which enables local communities to better understand their energy use and open up the substation data to academics and companies to create innovative services for the network.
