Monitoring price control compliance

This page contains information relating to the way we monitor compliance with the price control charge restrictions which electricity Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) have to comply with.

The charge restrictions limit the revenue which DNOs can collect by charging electricity suppliers for use of their systems to transport electricity to domestic, commercial and industrial customers.

They also incorporate incentive mechanisms designed to promote high levels of customer service and efficient network operation.

You can read about the background to the current charge restrictions by visiting the other pages in this section which cover the cost reporting and price control areas of our work.

You can see up to date information on our RIIO price controls in our main RIIO price control section and on the dedicated RIIO-ED1 page.
