Approval of UNC Modification 478 which gives Daily Metered customers the flexibility to reduce (for a limited time only) their Supply Offtake Quantity (SOQ) to below the Bottom Stop Supply Point Offtake Quantity (BSSOQ). This allows customers who have experienced a drop in gas demand to reduce their capacity charges to a level that better reflects their expected capacity usage.
These arrangements were originally put in place by UNC275 and were further extended by UNC405 in 2011 but have now expired. This modification further extends these temporary arrangements, lasting until Project Nexus is implemented by which time we expect the industry to have brought forward a more enduring solution.
