We are issuing this Request for Information in order to gather quantitative and qualitative data which is required to better understand costs and system pressures associated with gas disconnections across Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) for future monitoring purposes, in addition to finalising initial information received under Ofgem’s Call for Input (CfI) - Exercising Consumer Choice: A review of the gas disconnections framework. This information will also be used for policy development as part of Ofgem’s RIIO-3 Price Control Final Determinations, as well as Ofgem’s current review of the IGT Relative Price Control.
We are seeking responses from Gas Distribution Networks (GDNs) and Independent Gas Transporters (IGTs) by 1 October 2025. Please respond by email to gas.systems@ofgem.gov.uk.
