This document lists the guarantees that Ofgem has reviewed and consider to meet the criteria for an appropriate guarantee under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO).

Update 10 October 2016 (Version 4)

We have published an amendment to our appropriate guarantees document to reflect that the guarantee KEGGPI03 is also valid where external wall insulation is applied to non-brick solid walls of high-rise buildings (5 storeys or more). This guarantee has been valid for this measure type for the full period that it has been listed on the ECO2 appropriate guarantee list.

Update 1 August 2016 (version 4)

Following further engagement with one guarantee provider, we have re-added one guarantee which we now have confidence meets all of the four criteria set out in paragraph 7.47 of the ECO2 Guidance: Delivery. This has been reflected in the document (version 4) below.

Update July 2016 (version 3)

We have carried out a full review of the guarantees listed in this document and determined that:

  • a number of previously listed guarantees are no longer being issued by the guarantee provider;
  • for some previously listed guarantees, following review the provider has not demonstrated that the guarantee currently meets  all of the four criteria set out in paragraph 7.47 of the ECO2 Guidance: Delivery; and
  • a new guarantee was reviewed by us and we consider that it meets all of the four criteria set out in paragraph 7.47 of the ECO2 Guidance: Delivery.

Guarantees that have been removed from the list will no longer be considered by Ofgem to be appropriate guarantees for the purposes of approving ECO2 measures.

The revised list will take effect for wall insulation measures installed from 1 August 2016. For measures installed between 6 July and 31 July 2016 you can use guarantees included in the previous list (version 2).

We will revise this list should further information demonstrate that an existing guarantee meets the required criteria or if a new guarantee is reviewed by us and we consider that it meets those criteria.
