Get energy efficiency help for your home or business

Improving energy efficiency in your home, small business or microbusiness can lower your carbon footprint and save money on your bills.

Get help from your energy supplier

Ask your supplier if they can help you make energy-efficient improvements to your home or business. Alongside general advice, they may be able to give you access to:

• grants or other funding
• environmental and social schemes
• green tariffs

You may need to meet certain eligibility criteria to qualify, for example relating to where you live or where your business is based, finances, business size or sector.

Get help from government

Your local council may offer support with making your home or business more energy efficient. Find your council’s website.

If you live in England or Wales, you can get home energy efficiency advice from the UK government.

The UK government also offers financial support through:

• Boiler Upgrade Scheme 
• Warm Homes: Local Grant, if you live in England
• Warm Homes Discount
• Energy Company Obligation (ECO)

Small businesses or microbusinesses can get help to be more energy efficient from: 

• the UK government, including through the Energy Technology List for energy-efficient products  
• Business Energy Scotland, if you live in Scotland
