Enforcement Guidelines – Summary of stakeholder feedback on our proposed revisions and Ofgem’s response

In advance of the 2017 Compliance and Enforcement Annual Conference, which took place on 6 September, we circulated details of proposed changes to our Enforcement Guidelines. These guidelines set out how we can use our enforcement powers to put things right when energy companies fail to comply with their obligations.

At the conference, stakeholders were invited to give their views on the key changes; we also provided opportunities for stakeholders to respond in writing about our proposals.

The document below summarises stakeholder responses to our proposed revisions to the Enforcement Guidelines and then sets out Ofgem’s response, including details of any changes we have subsequently made to the revised Guidelines to reflect stakeholder views.
