Our decisions and proposals for minimum requirements and customer protections to improve the customer experience of obtaining electricity network connections.
Consultation description
This consultation builds on the decisions we have made in our previous consultation, Connections end-to-end review: updated proposals and next steps.
We are seeking views on proposed regulatory requirements to improve service standards for connecting customers. This includes transparency and communication, customer protections and timely delivery of connections.
This consultation forms part of Ofgem's Transforming the Connections Experience programme and has evolved from themes 2 to 5 and 7 of the Connections end-to-end review.
Your views will help to shape the proposed policy changes before we start to draft and roll-out new regulatory requirements in early 2027.
Who should respond
We would like to hear from regulated parties including network companies and the National Electricity System Operator (NESO), as well as connecting customers.
We would also welcome responses from local authorities, trade bodies and Citizens Advice.
