Statutory consultation on modifications to Independent Gas Transporter licence conditions for the Relative Price Control

Details of outcome

We are publishing our decision on our statutory consultation to modifications to the gas transporter licences held by Independent Gas Transporters (IGTs) to give effect to our decision on the IGT Relative Price Control (RPC). 

The proposed modifications will: 

• update Special Condition 1: Charging of Gas Shippers – Relative Price Control
• introduce a new Special Condition 2: IGT Regulatory Instructions and Guidance (IGT RIGs). 

The changes to Special Condition 1 update the RPC charging framework. The proposed new Special Condition 2 sets out the scope, content and governance arrangements for the IGT RIGs. The IGT RIGs themselves will be issued by direction and are not being issued through this statutory consultation. 

After reviewing the responses to our August statutory consultation, we have decided to implement the licence modifications as per our August statutory consultation with a minor administrative change made to Special Condition 1 and with no changes to Special Condition 2 since consultation. 
 
We have also published non-confidential responses to our statutory consultation.

Consultation description
