We are seeking views on proposed changes to the Data Assurance Guidance

Details of outcome

We have taken the decision to update the Data Assurance Guidance (DAG).

The revised guidance provides greater clarity on the DAG reporting requirements and should be used by relevant Licensees with effect from 27 January 2026.

This decision notice outlines our decision to approve proposed changes to the Data Assurance Guidance (DAG).

This is following our statutory consultation on these proposed changes that commenced on 14 November 2025 and closed on 16 December 2025. We have decided to approve the modifications as set out below.

Consultation description

This consultation seeks views on proposed changes to the data assurance requirements for Electricity and Gas Transmission, Electricity and Gas Distribution, Electricity System Operator, Gas System Planner, Nuclear Energy Generator, Carbon Dioxide Transport and Storage Licensees for their Data Assurance Guidance submissions due by 31 March 2026.
