Proposed Load Re-opener decisions on May 2026 applications.
Description
The Load Re-opener enables electricity transmission owners (ETOs) to request additional allowances for new load projects which were not funded or only partially funded at the start of the price control period as part of our RIIO-3 final determinations. It provides flexibility for ETOs to deliver necessary network infrastructure at pace, whilst protecting consumers from unnecessary costs.
We have assessed 30 applications made by ETOs in the May 2026 Load Re-opener application window. Our draft determinations sets out our proposed decisions including associated additional allowances and reasoning for any adjustments to ETO requests.

We would like views from people with an interest in the energy transition and network infrastructure. We particularly welcome responses from:

- consumer groups
- other interested industry parties.
