We have launched an investigation into Maxen Power Supply Limited about its fair treatment of businesses and matters relating to energy theft. We have expanded our investigation into its compliance with rules around operational capability, ongoing fit and proper requirements and the principle to be open and cooperative with us.

Enforcement description

We have been considering the supplier’s compliance with rules around treating microbusinesses fairly and matters relating to energy theft including detection, investigation and prevention.  We are now also assessing the supplier’s compliance with rules around:

• maintenance of robust internal capability, systems and processes
• requirement to ensure it has fit and proper persons in positions of Significant Managerial Responsibility
• principle to be open and cooperative with us

Maxen Power Ltd is a UK-based non-domestic utilities supplier based in east London.

The investigation will examine whether Maxen Power Supply Ltd is in compliance with the requirements of Standard Licence Conditions (SLC) 0A, 4A, 4C (1, 2 and 3), 5A and 12A of the Gas Supply Licence and SLCs 0A, 4A, 4C (1, 2 and 3), 5A and 12.A of the Electricity Supply Licence.

Neither the opening nor the expansion of an investigation implies that we have made any findings about non-compliance.
