This is our decision on the incentive arrangements for Gas Distribution Networks (GDNs) on gas theft during conveyance and for unregistered sites.
Following our consultation we have decided that the current gas theft arrangements for GDNs should stay in place for the remainder of the current price control period (RIIO-GD1 until 2021). We will enhance the current reporting requirements to gather more information on GDNs’ investigation costs and the money that they can recover. We will also encourage GDNs and other industry parties to keep developing interim ideas that could improve the current arrangements. We will review and consider any developed ideas.
