In the RIIO Price Controls, the Cost of Debt (CoD) is updated on an annual basis with reference to a trailing average index of debt costs.
Due to the suspension of key Bank of England data in May 2017, interim CoD values for all four RIIO Price Controls were used for the Annual Iteration Process (AIP) in 2017.
With the Bank of England having resumed publication of the key data series, Ofgem intends to update the interim CoD values when undertaking the AIP in 2018.
