This guidance document has been updated since the draft was published in September 2025, and we have made changes to wording and structure where appropriate. We have made updates, including changing the ‘industry outcome’ to make clear that sector growth is a desired outcome of the framework. We have also renamed the ‘affordability’ principle to ‘consumer impact’, however the underlying principle remains unchanged.
Heat network suppliers and operators are responsible for keeping up to date with the latest version of requirements, including guidance.
