The Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) is a funding mechanism for the Electricity System Operator, Electricity Transmission, Electricity Distribution, Gas Transmission and Gas Distribution sectors.
The SIF aims to find and fund ambitious, innovative projects with the potential to accelerate the transition to net zero. These projects should help shape the future of the gas and electricity networks and succeed commercially where possible.
On 19 July 2023, we published SIF Project Directions for 10 round one beta phase projects in the SIF.
We are now approving a material change request from network companies regarding the project directions for Crowdflex. We have published the updated SIF Project Direction below.
