Details of outcome
We have taken the decision to update the Regulatory Instructions and Guidance (RIGs) and annual data Regulatory Reporting Packs (RRP). The decision approves changes to that are intended to support the Gas Transmission (GT) licensee in completing the annual reporting requirements, in accordance with the provisions under Standard Special Licence Condition A40 (Regulatory Instructions and Guidance), relating to year five of the RIIO price control framework.
The revised guidance provides greater clarity on the reporting requirements and should be used by the Licensee with effect from 17 April 2026.
This decision follows our consultation on these proposed changes that commenced on 2 March 2026 and closed on 30 March 2026.

Consultation description
The Regulatory Instructions and Guidance (RIGs) are the primary means by which the Authority directs the Licensees to collect and provide annual information to the Authority, to enable it to administer the Special Conditions of the Licence and the RIIO-GT2 Final Determinations. This consultation gives notice of the proposed updates to the data templates and guidance documents. The proposed modifications refer specifically to information required to be submitted to the Authority on or before 31 July 2026, the final year of the price control period.
