Draft Determinations on RIIO-2 Re-opener Applications 2025: Electricity Transmission Medium Sized Investment Projects

We consulted on our assessment of the application from National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) for additional allowances for five projects submitted using the Medium Sized Investment Projects (MSIP) re-opener mechanism between 10 December 2025 and 19 January 2026. Following our review of the responses to our consultation, we are now publishing our Final Determinations for these five MSIP projects.

Consultation description

As part of the RIIO-2 price control, network companies can apply for additional allowances via re-opener mechanisms. We are consulting on our proposals following our assessment of five Medium Sized Investment Project (MSIP) applications submitted by National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) in January 2025.

Who should respond

We would like views from people with an interest in electricity transmission networks. We would also welcome responses from other stakeholders and the public.
