Methodology
The Regulatory Instructions and Guidance (RIGs) require all network companies to provide information to Ofgem on an annual basis. We use the annual information provided in the RIGs in preparation of this annual report.
We analyse this information and examine any variations in performance against annual output targets, as well as the expected underspend and overspend across specific activities and cost categories. Additionally, we engage with each network company to discuss the technical aspects of their submissions and participate in direct discussions at annual company visits on specific points.
