Government have launched a consultation proposing to change the way the Feed-In Tariff scheme is indexed to inflation to bring them in line with regulatory best practice and reducing overall scheme costs.
The proposed new approach for FIT tariffs rates is to change from Retail Price Index (RPI) to Consumer Price Index (CPI). The RPI is currently 4.2% and CPI is currently 3.4%.
Once this consultation has finalised and any necessary legislative changes implemented, we will publish the Feed-In Tariff Year 17 tariff table.
The FIT tariffs for FIT Year 16 still applies until 31 March 2026.
