Following our consultation in spring, we have decided to launch a Targeted Charging Review (TCR) Significant Code Review (SCR). Please find our decision letter below.

The main objectives of this SCR are to:

  • consider reform of residual charging for transmission and distribution, for both generation and demand, to ensure it meets the interests of consumers, both now and in future; and
  • keep the other ‘embedded benefits’ that may be distorting investment or dispatch decisions under review.

Charging Futures Forum

In our TCR consultation, we announced our plans to establish a charging coordination group to help steer the various existing industry-led charging reviews and certain elements of Ofgem’s work. Respondents to the consultation were generally supportive of this proposal. We have decided to name the arrangements the Charging Futures Forum (CFF).
