We have decided to approve Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC) modification proposal P497. This will remove MODIS as a submission method for REMIT inside information and create a new submission option which enables direct publication to Elexon’s Insights platform.

Code modification description
P497 was raised by the National Energy System Operator (NESO) on 7 August 2025. NESO plan to retire the REMIT submission option in Market Operations Data Interface System (MODIS). A new submission route using Elexon’s Insights platform infrastructure will provide an alternative option for industry. This will enable direct Application Programming Interface (API) submission directly to the Insights platform. This will be in addition to the retained option to submit REMIT inside information via the Elexon Portal for publishing on their Insights platform.
