Ofgem have written a letter to the Energy Networks Association, the six GB Distribution Network Operators and National Grid ESO regarding the Open Networks Project.
The letter is in response to stakeholder concerns about a hiatus or slowdown in activity in the development of local flexibility markets as raised in responses to the ‘Future of local energy institutions and governance’ consultation. The letter reiterates Ofgem’s support for the Open Networks Project, sets out how we intend to engage going forwards and set out our expectations for the rest of 2023 and for 2024
