Today we have published a statutory consultation proposing changes to Condition 21 of the Smart Meter Communication Licence.
This follows the publication of our consultation on the Implementation and Governance Arrangements for Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS). In that consultation we stated we would shortly be consulting on changes to the Smart Meter Communication Licence, to ensure compliance by the licence holder (known as the Smart Data Communications Company Limited) with the MHHS implementation provisions we are proposing to place in the Balancing and Settlements Code (BSC).
Please send responses to this statutory consultation by COB 25th June 2021 to Halfhourlysettlement@ofgem.gov.uk.
Unless you mark your response confidential, we will publish it on our website, www.ofgem.gov.uk, and put it in our library. You can ask us to keep your response confidential, and we will respect this, subject to obligations to disclose information, for example, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 or the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. If you want us to keep your response confidential, you should clearly mark your response to that effect and include reasons.
