Code modification description
The proposal was raised by the Data Communications Company on 5 December 2025 following the implementation of SECMP308.
Upon implementation of SECMP308 it was identified that the inclusion of the term 'WAN Variant' in the legal text may risk DCC becoming non-compliant with their licence obligations under the Smart Meter Communications Licence. This modification does not change or alter the solution implemented under SECMP308 and only ensures that the legal text is consistent with the intent of the modification.
