NOTICE UNDER SECTION 6A(5) OF THE ELECTRICITY ACT 1989 OF THE GRANT OF AN ELECTRICITY INTERCONNECTOR  LICENCE

Pursuant to section 6A(5) of the Electricity Act 1989 (“the Act”), the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (“the Authority”) hereby gives notice that on 9 February 2015, an electricity interconnector licence was granted under section 6(1)(e) of the Act to Greenwire Transmission Pembroke Limited (company number 536954) whose registered office is situated at Unit C, Building 4200, Cork Airport Business Park, Cork, Ireland, authorising it to participate in the operation of the Greenlink interconnector, an electricity interconnector between Great Britain (Pembroke substation, Wales) and Ireland (Great Island substation, Wexford).
