The conference was attended by industry participants from energy suppliers, network companies and consumer groups.
The event focussed on Ofgem’s current and future approach to enforcement and compliance, with the objective of improving outcomes for energy consumers.
Topics throughout the day included key points from Ofgem’s enforcement and compliance actions over the past year, a presentation on the Settlement Committee from the perspective of Enforcement Decision Panel members, and the work Citizens Advice is doing to aid vulnerable consumers, in cooperation with Ofgem. There were also updates and group discussions regarding Ofgem’s future retail regulation project, and voluntary redress project.
