On 9 February 2015, Ofgem announced an investigation into whether two or more companies providing a supporting service for the energy industry had breached competition law. Specifically, the investigation looked into whether two or more parties had shared information on the commission rates charged to energy suppliers.
On 15 March 2016 Ofgem closed its investigation and published the open letter below providing further details.
