Notice under Section 7(5) of the Gas Act 1986

The Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (“the Authority”) hereby gives notice pursuant to Section 7(5) of the Gas Act 1986 (“the Act”) as follows:

1.  The Authority proposes to grant a gas transporter licence (“the Licence”) under Section 7(2) of the Act to Harlaxton Gas Networks Limited  (company number 09805332), whose registered office is situated at Toll Bar Road, Marston, Grantham, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, NG32 2HT (“the Company”).

2.  The Licence, if awarded, will authorise the Company to:

a.  convey gas through pipes to any premises in Great Britain; and

b.  convey gas through pipes to any pipe-line system operated by another gas transporter which is designed to receive gas at an operating pressure not exceeding 7 bar gauge.

3.  The reasons why the Authority proposes to grant the Licence are:

a.  to secure that the reasonable demands for gas in Great Britain are met; and

b.  to secure effective competition in the supply of gas through pipes.

4.  Any representations or objections with respect to the proposed Licence may be made on or before 12 February 2018 and should be addressed to Licensing team at 9 Millbank, London, SW1P 3GE or licensing@ofgem.gov.uk .
