Notice under section 8AA(9) of the Gas Act 1986 (as amended) of the proposed transfer of a Gas Shipper licence held by Green Network UK Plc to Green Network Energy Ltd
The Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (‘the Authority’) hereby gives notice pursuant to Section 8AA(9) of the Gas Act 1986 (as amended) (‘the Act’) as follows:
1. Green Network UK Plc (company registration number 08241751), the registered office of which is 4th Floor, 100 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 5JL, United Kingdom has written to the Authority seeking its consent under Section 8AA of the Act to the transfer of the Gas Shipper licence granted to Green Network UK Plc pursuant to section 7A(2) of the Act to Green Network Energy Ltd, (company registration number 09523066), the registered office of which is at 3rd Floor, Renaissance Building, Dingwall Road, Croydon, CR0 2NA, United Kingdom.
2. The Authority proposes to grant consent to the proposed licence transfer which, subject to our consent, is currently proposed to take place on 20 January 2020. for the following reasons:
(i) Green Network UK Plc has applied to the Authority under Section 8AA of the Act for the Authority’s consent to the transfer of its gas shipper licence to Green Network Energy Ltd; and
(ii) The Authority is satisfied that it would have been appropriate to grant a Gas Shipper licence to Green Network Energy Ltd had Green Network Energy Ltd applied to the Authority for such a licence and as such considers that it is appropriate to consent to a transfer of an existing Gas Shipper licence to Green Network Energy Ltd.
3. Any representations or objections in relation to the proposal by the Authority to grant consent to the proposed licence transfer should be made in writing no later than 19 November 2019 to the Authority, either:
